What is the best internet provider in Miami?

AT&T offers download speeds up to 5,000 Mbps on its incredibly fast, reliable fiber network, but it’s got some tough competition in the Miami area. Xfinity also offers gigabit speeds via cable connection, along with a bunch of other plans at lower prices, and both providers cover the entire downtown and suburban areas.

EarthLink and Breezeline (formerly Atlantic Broadband) also offer gigabit plans, which give Miami residents quite a few choices for gigabit internet.

What is the fastest internet provider in Miami?

AT&T is the fastest provider in Miami with gigabit fiber plans that hit max speeds of 1,000 Mbps, 2,000 Mbps, and 5,000 Mbps. EarthLink also offers plans with these speeds, since it uses AT&T’s fiber network.

Xfinity comes in as the fastest cable internet provider. Its internet plans go up to 2,000 Mbps—although that über-fast plan is rare, and you’re more likely to find Xfinity’s 1,200 Mbps plan.

After that, Breezeline offers speeds up to 1,000 Mbps, which is fast enough to handle anything you’re likely to throw at it. A 1,000 Mbps connection can download an entire HD movie in less than 30 seconds.

There are also slower plans available if you don’t need something quite that fast and prefer to save some money instead. The FCC considers anything faster than 25 Mbps to be broadband internet, so there is a lot of room to save money and still get a fast connection.

What are the fiber internet providers in Miami?

AT&T and EarthLink are the two major fiber internet providers in Miami. They both offer fiber service in select areas across the city. They also have DSL service, but it’s not as fast or as cost effective.

Hotwire Communications and Upstream also offer fiber internet in Miami. These are regional providers with smaller networks, but they’re well worth considering—they have fair prices and may reach areas that AT&T and EarthLink don’t.

We highly recommend fiber over any other type of internet because it’s incredibly fast, reliable, and often cheaper than cable and DSL internet.

Artur H | 09-29-2023

Horrible company. Very poor value on overpriced TV service, and very unreliable internet service. Internet goes down several times per week. Everyone offers a better deal with streaming, and when you drop one service, they double the price on the internet.

William D | 03-15-2023

The only thing that makes the connectivity and slow speeds worst is the rude, arrogant and uncaring customer service. The provider is better off not having customer service. I initially went with ViaSat because of their enormous footprints of government contracts. But then again $5k hammers are bought by government. Ended up using 5G hotspot and now Us New Internet out of Homestead. So far blazing speeds and just a few connectivity issue. Excellent customer services (John) but Tech services are strictly español only.

Century link’s customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Disrespectful, lack of English language availability, horrible website/chat-bot capabilities. Disgusted with century link after going through their customer service program. Switching providers immediately
