You have the option to buy an Apple TV 4K or Amazon TV Stick to serve as a streaming device when you sign up for Ting Internet. You don’t get a bundle discount when you buy them, though, so we recommend ordering them for a cheaper price from a separate retailer.
Ting Internet’s biggest asset is its simplicity. It offers one plan, and that one plan is excellent, giving you symmetrical internet speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps and unlimited data. Ting’s prices skew a bit higher than some of its fiber competitors, but its fiber connection is faster and more reliable than what you can get from cable or DSL, and it has top-of-the-line equipment to keep your Wi-Fi flowing throughout the house.
Ting Internet is a fiber internet provider that serves 13 towns and cities across the United States, with services available in parts of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. It’s a subsidiary of the Canadian-American telecommunications company Tucows Inc., and it offers fiber service with symmetrical gigabit speeds and unlimited data.
Pros
Cons
Ting’s internet prices skew a bit higher compared to similar fiber providers like Google Fiber. Ting’s fiber plan also costs more than the upper-tier plans from cable providers like Xfinity and Spectrum. But if you have to choose between cable or fiber, Ting’s higher price is worth it because Ting delivers much faster speeds—including symmetrical upload speeds that you can’t get from a cable connection.
